Making sure your arms are in the proper position and are rotating correctly is essential in order to achieve optimal results. By taking the time to learn and master this technique, your golf game will improve drastically. You're friends won't believe you taught yourself this great skill!

To learn how to rotate arms in a golf swing start by:

  1. On the backswing, bring the club away from the ball, and move your arms upward. Be sure to keep your front arm straight, and allow the elbow on the back arm to bend to an angle of approximately 90 degrees.  As the club moves upward, cock your hands so that the back of the hand in front is facing away from you.
  2. As you perform the downswing, allow the weight of your arms to create the motion that the golf club will follow. Be sure not to pull the club with your hands.
  3. During impact with the golf ball, keep the club in a straight line with the arm that is forward. Rotate both your hands and wrists, making sure that the back of the forward hand is facing the target. This results in a club face that is also pointed towards the target.
  4. During follow through, rotate your wrists, resulting in the palm of your front hand facing away from you. Practice this technique until you feel you have perfected it. In order to achieve optimal results, you should feel comfortable with your golf technique.
