Figuring out how to score points against tall tennis opponents can be a challenge. Tall tennis players normally can't move very well around the tennis court. The keys to scoring points against a tall player and any size tennis player is to make him move.

  1. To score points against tall tennis opponents, you will need to make him move. Tennis players are most effective when they have time to set up and hit a shot. If you want to eliminate scoring potential from your tall opponent, you should make the tall guy move. If the tall tennis opponent is off balance, it will be harder for him to hit a good short or score a point.
  2. The height of a tall tennis players may work for him in many ways. But the height of a tall tennis player can also work against him.  If you hit the ball low to a tall tennis player, he will have a hard time reaching that shot. This will put you in a better position to win the overall point.
  3. Tall tennis players tend to have a lot of reach at the tennis net because of long arms. If you want to score points against a tall tennis opponent. Try to avoid bringing him to the net.  Do not hit drop shots against a tall tennis player. This will bring him to the net and make it harder for you to score points.
