An important part of winning a craps game is knowing how to select craps strategies. Craps is actually a simple game with different strategies. While you may prefer to stick to your own craps strategies, it is still a good idea to know how to select multiple craps strategies.

  1. Try the "don't come" strategy. This is one craps strategy you will want to play whenever you want to make a win on a rolled seven a sure thing instead of simply breaking even  For instance, assume that the point is a seven and you’ve placed a $10 bet on the "don't pass line," $10 on the "don’t come box" and $10 on the odds. Whenever you are using this as one of your craps strategies and the roll turns up an eight, you will lose the $10 "don’t come" but you will win $20 on the "don’t pass." Use this as one of your craps strategies whenever you are looking to double your money.
  2. Play "three and out." Herein you will place a bet on every number but the seven and one other number. This falls under those types of craps strategies wherein you are almost betting against yourself. You will make some nice cash by using craps strategies such as this one because you will make a nice profit regardless of which number comes up. Just make sure to remove your bets after the third roll so that you will reduce your risk of having the seven show up.  (Mathematical probability states that a seven will appear within six rolls.)
  3. Stay in place as you select craps strategies. You will find that this is actually one of the safest craps strategies since you will be able to remove your bet anytime. Essentially, this is one of those craps strategies that places you in control of the numbers. The odds that you will roll a certain number once is a lot greater than attempting to repeat the number before a seven appears.
  4. Set a limit for yourself. You don't want to forget this even though it is one of the most basic craps strategies. Regardless of your skill level, you will always want to know how much you can afford to lose. This is important because you never want to walk away from the table completely broke.

Recognize these craps strategies are based upon the assumption that you are already proficient with this game. If you are just getting started and need to become familiar with ways in which to select craps strategies, these suggestions are not what you want to start with.
