- Tennis ball

- Get the proper foot position and grip. Your feet should be behind the baseline on the serve. As far as your grip on the tennis racquet, keep your grip tight, but it should still be comfortable. Additionally, your lead shoulder should be pointing to where you are directing the serve.
- Toss the ball into the air and keep your eyes on it. Keep your eyes on the tennis ball as you toss it slightly above your head.
