How To Set Up Blackberry Email

If you are a new Blackberry smartphone user, the most important thing to know right off the bat is how to set up Blackberry email. One of the great benefits of a smartphone is the ability to receive, read and send email while on the go, making it easy to stay organized. You can associate your Blackberry with an email address you already have, or you can set up a new email address specifically for your Blackberry. Follow the simple steps below to set up your Blackberry email.

1. First, start out on the home screen of your Blackberry. Click on the Setup icon, then on the Email Accounts icon. Follow the directions given to set up your Blackberry email.
2. The options you select will depend on what type of email address you'd like to set up. If you'd like to associate your Blackberry with an existing internet email account, follow the Internet Mail Account directions. If you want to associate it with your work email address, your internet administrator should have given you a password. If that's the case, follow the Enterprise Account directions. If you are trying to do this and do not have a password, you should contact your work's IT department for assistance.
3. Once you've followed these steps, click the Messages icon on your home screen. This should lead you to your email account. If you've set up the email correctly,  you will have received a confirmation email. If you'd like to change the options for your email account, click on Messages on the home screen, then Options, then Email Accounts.
