If you have purchased one of the new solar powered watches by Casio, you'll need to learn how to set Casio solar powered watches. These watches use tiny solar panels to convert sunlight to energy.  Setting Casio's solar powered watches isn't hard, but you do have to follow a few simple steps first.

What you'll need to set up your watch:

  • Casio solar powered watch
  • Access to sunlight
  1. Charge it up. The first thing you'll have to do is charge the watch by exposing it to sunlight. Depending upon the strength of the sunlight, charge times may vary.
  2. Set modes for functions. To set the modes for functions on your Casio solar powered watch (such as alarm, countdown timer and stopwatch) press the "eight o'clock" button on the watch.
  3. Setting the home city. Hold down the "10 o'clock" button to set your home city. Hold the button until the display shows your country, then press the "4 o'clock" button to display eastern cities or the "2 o'clock" button to display western cities. Press the "2 o'clock" button repeatedly to navigate to the nearest major city to you. After you have chosen the city, press the "10 o'clock" button to set and exit this setting.
  4. Set the time. Press the "8 o'clock" button to set the time. Hold the "10 o'clock" button to set the watch to use either 24-hour or twelve-hour time. Press the "8 o'clock" button and set the time in hours, minutes and seconds, and the date.
