How To Set Up A Teamspeak Server

Learning how to set up a teamspeak server can be very exciting at first, but this excitement can easily turn to frustration if you have no idea what you are doing. Teamspeak is a communication software on the internet that allows you to talk to all your friends and family. The Teamspeak server allows many people to connect and communicate all in one place. All you have to do to get your server up and running is to configure it properly by following these easy steps.

To set up a Teamspeak server, you will need:

  • Teamspeak server program
  • Internet 
  • computer
  1. Go to the Teamspeak website and download/install the server software. Double click the Teamspeak shortcut and write down the SAdmin username and password that appears. Make sure you do not lose this as you will need it to set up a server.
  2. Use your mouse to right click the Teamspeak server icon. You can find this icon on your taskbar on the right-side of your computer screen.
  3. Click the section that is titled "Administration". This will cause your web browser to open up and take you to a server log-in page. Enter the SAdmin username and password that you were given when you first installed the Teamspeak server software.
  4. Select the link that is called servers and select the default server icon. Go to server settings and input the name of your server, UDP port, and password. Once you are sure that you have entered all of your information hit the save button and your server is now ready for use.
