When you know how to shave cool French beards you can impress the ladies with your style and creativity. While a French beard may not be not for everyone, they are simple to maintain and a nice change from the standard full beard look. It might take you a few tries but eventually you will be able to shave cool French beards with little trouble.

Things You May Need:

  • Razor
  • Shaving cream
  • Mirror
  1. Decide on which style of French beard you want. The goatee is a popular choice which consists of only having a small beard on your chin. If you want to go for the more advanced French beard look, have a mustache and soul patch to go along with the goatee. To get ready for this look just grow a full beard for a week or so and then begin your trimming to shave your cool French beard
  2. Use a regular razor or an electric one to shave a cool French beard. If you want to leave a little sideburn, shave below the desired length using your razor. Next, decide how wide you want your mustache to be. This will determine how wide your beard will be on your face. Trim your cheeks, and leave only the beard on your chin and the part that runs from the ends of your mustache down to your chin.
  3. Shave your neck if you have not already and then get to work on your French beard. Shave the sides of your remaining beard until all that remains are your mustache, soul patch under your lip and your chin whiskers. You can leave the soul patch attached to your chin beard, or trim it a little so it is separate.
  4. Trim your chin whiskers into a slight point to accentuate the French beard. This will put the finishing touches on your cool French beard. You may have to grow the beard awhile to make the chin part point slightly, so give it some time and continue to work on your creation until you are happy with your appearance.
