How To Shop At An Internet Shopping Mall
If you've ever wondered how to shop at an internet shopping mall, you're probably an avid shopper. On the other hand, you could just need to buy a quick gift and just don't feel like dealing with crowds at your local mall. No matter what the case may be, shopping at an internet shopping mall is fun and easy to do.
- Find your store. Once you are at the internet shopping mall's website, pick the store or area you want to shop in. Some internet shopping malls have different categories to choose from, or even links to other online stores from the website. Once you've found your store or product type, you can do a search for the product you are looking for.
- Do a search. There is usually a table of contents that has links to the different products available. If you can't find what you're looking for there, you can always use the search box if there is one available. Once you find the product you are looking for, you can add it to your shopping cart or shopping bag. Most of the time there will be an option to either continue shopping or continue to check out. It will take you back to the item you just put in your cart if you continue your internet shopping experience.
- Checking out. When you are done shopping at the internet mall, click the check-out option. If you have coupon codes, you will usually enter the code next or after you give your billing information. If you do an online search, you can sometimes find coupon codes that will save you a little bit of money at many online sites. Have your credit card information readily available, unless you are paying with a gift card. Most sites are secure, but to be sure, you can look at the bottom of the screen and there is usually an icon of a lock. This means the site is secure, but most larger, reputable sites are going to have a secure checkout.
- Enter your information. You will have to enter your billing address if you are using a credit card. With most internet shopping malls, the billing address you enter has to match the billing address on your credit card account. If your shipping address is the same as your billing address, you shouldn't have to reenter your information, just check a box. You should also be able to enter your email and make an account where you can check the status of your order. Make sure your information is correct before proceeding. You should have the opportunity to confirm that your order is correct before you hit submit. Make sure any discounts you qualify for are deducted and that you didn't accidentally put two of something in your cart. Once you've made sure everything is correct, place your order and wait excitedly for your package to arrive.
After you've place your order, it's always a good idea to print out the confirmation page with your order number for your records. This is like the receipt that you would get if you were shopping in a real mall. In case your order were to be lost, it's a good idea to have documentation. You will usually get an email with the order number as well, but you should print it out just in case you don't get the email.
