How To Shrink Jeans’ Legs

There are a couple of ways to shrink the legs of your jeans. If you don't want the waistband or rear to shrink, then you need to be careful. Shrinking the legs of your jeans is a process that needs to be done by hand.

What you need to shrink the legs of your jeans:

  • Hot water
  • Sink or basin
  • Dryer
  • Iron
  1. To shrink the legs of your jeans to need hot water.  Fill up the sink ora  basin with the hottest water possible. If you can, boil some water for the maximum shrinkage and fill the sink with that. The hotter the water, the more the legs of your jeans will shrink.
  2. Soak the legs of your jeans. Put the legs of your jeans in the hot water without getting the tops of your jeans wet. Any part of the denim that touches the hot water will shrink. Let the legs soak for about a half an hour. After soaking, let the water drain.
  3. Use a dryer to shrink your jeans more. Drying the legs of your jeans is the last step to shrinking them. Put your jeans in the dryer on the highest heat and dry as usual. After they are dry, your jeans should be smaller in the legs.
  4. For maximum shrinkage to the legs, use an iron to dry your jeans. If you really want skinnier legs, you should dry your jeans with an iron. While they are still wet, lay them on the ironing board inside out. Use the highest setting of heat and steam when ironing the legs of your jeans. Please be careful not to burn yourself. Once the legs of your jeans are dry by an iron you will for sure have shrunk the legs!
