Stuff you'll need:

  • Clothes (100% Cotton and not pre-washed)
  • Washing Machine

  1. A few precautions first. Always make sure that your clothes are able to be shrunken in the first place. You'll need to make sure that your clothes are 100% cotton. Clothes that are 50% cotton and 50% polyester will not work. They need to be 100% cotton because cotton is a natural fiber while polyester is synthetic. You'll also need to make sure that your clothes weren't pre-washed. If they were pre-washed, then they will stay true to their size. Clothes will only shrink the most the first time you wash them.
  2. Shrinking the clothes. Clothes will only shrink the most on the very first wash. This is why pre-washed clothes will not shrink lots afterwards. After the first wash, it will continue to shrink but it won't be as noticeable. When shrinking your clothes, simply put them in the washing machine and dryer at the usual amounts of time and speed. The only thing that you'll need to change with your normal routine, if you never did this before, is to make sure that you run your clothes through the spin cycle as well. The spin cycle will shrink your clothes the most.
