How To Soccer Freestyle
In order to learn how to soccer freestyle, you will need to be willing to devote many hours to practice. Soccer freestyle is an entertaining and exhilarating display of concentration. With soccer freestyle, athletes can get so involved with their balancing acts and tricks that the soccer balls seem to be part of their bodies.
What you will need for soccer freestyle:
- A soccer ball
- Open space
- Concentration
- Motivation to learn
- First, play around with the ball a bit. Make sure that you are comfortable with a soccer ball and that you want to work hard on soccer freestyle. After kicking the ball around a bit and getting a feel for its weight, you can start practicing.
- Try to keep the ball up with an inside "pancake" for ten bounces in a row. In order to do the inside "pancake," simply drop the ball down onto the inside of your foot, kick it straight up, and try to kick it again when it drops. Once you have mastered this balancing act, you can move on to other soccer freestyle moves.
- Now, try to keep up the ball with an outside "pancake" for ten bounces in a row. The outside "pancake" is the same as the inside, except for the fact that you use the outside of your foot to bounce the ball. These tricks can help you with basic balance and coordination skills.
- Do a knee grab. Instead of using your feet to balance the ball, you will move on to different parts of your body. With the knee grab, you simply try to catch the ball between your knees as it falls down. You must time the "grab" perfectly in order to execute this trick.
- Move on to more complicated moves and freestyle. Once you have mastered the basics, you can find more complicated moves online or from an expert. You can also work on your own moves. One of the most distinguishing aspects of soccer freestyle is the element of freestyle, or tricks made up as the athlete goes along, so when you master the moves you can do just about anything you want with the ball.
