When trying to learn how to start running for exercise it is important to not do more than your body can handle, especially if you are not in shape yet. By pushing your body too hard, too fast, you can risk injury. Once injured you might not be able to run again for a month, or even longer. It all depends on what you would rather do. If you do not have a lot of time, buying a treadmill can be a great investment. This way you will not have any travel time to your running location.   2. Stretching for a run. When going for a run, make sure you always stretch before and after. This will help you avoid having injuries or pulling a muscle.
