If you're cheating on your girlfriend, you should probably figure out how to stop cheating on your girlfriend. Not only will cheating on your girlfriend cause her pain, it will probably cause you some form of pain as well, once she finds out. Women do not take kindly to being cheated on. You would be lucky to escape with only vandalism to your property or harm to your reputation. It would be best to take the proper steps to stop cheating as soon as possible.

  1. Ask yourself, "Why?" To stop cheating on your girlfriend, first you need to figure out why you're cheating in the first place. Are you bored with your girlfriend? Is your sex life lacking? Or are you just plain miserable?
  2. There is no such thing as the "right" time to stop cheating. A mistake that a lot of people make is procrastinating ending their relationship because they're waiting for the "right" time to end things. Well, the longer you wait, the harder it will be to end things.
  3. Cut off contact with the other person ASAP. There really isn't any need to end things with the other person in a face to face meeting. Doing so will simply cause you temptation and you may not meet your goal of ending it. Once it's been established that it's over, stop calling, e-mailing, texting, and so on.
  4. Remember why you're with your girlfriend in the first place. If you truly love your girlfriend, it shouldn't be that hard to stop cheating on her. Remember why you fell for her in the first place. If and when she finds out that you've been unfaithful, it will cause her a great deal of pain.

If you find that you don't care for your girlfriend the way you used to, it would be much kinder to just break up with her, rather than staying in a relationship you don't care about.
