How To Stop Gay Bullying In Schools
Learn about how to stop gay bullying in schools. It is incredibly difficult to grow up and realize you are gay and try to fit in at school at the same time. Some peers and friends will let you be while others are down right vicious–scary vicious. Stopping gay violence in school is something to strive for, but don't count on that being a resolved issue anytime soon.
- Get staff and teacher support. For a student going through it, hopefully they don't just tough it out. It's better to be a bit of a narc and at least have teachers and staff watching your back where you are being harassed. It is better to tell teachers and staff and make them aware, than it is to have the bullying lead to getting heavily beat up or even killed because you didn't tell anyone.
- Switch schools. Seriously. If the school is too large for a gay student to get the support they need to lessen gay bullying, it's time to find a way to switch schools. Weigh the consequences. You either find a way to switch schools, or the gay bullying gets to you so bad it becomes dangerous to your safety.
- Home school. If transferring to another school is not an option, for what ever reason, consider doing your studies online. There are other ways to get the social part of school. And being bullied for being gay is not worth some of the negative consequences that come with it when you consider that there are other options.
