Do you need to know how to stop razor burn in the pubic area? If so, then you are in the same boat that probably all of us have been in at some point. Razor burn can be painful and unattractive. It is one of the worst pubic conditions short of having an STD, so of course you need to get rid of it as quickly as you can. That way, your genitals can get back to normal. Follow these steps to stop razor burn that may be troubling your pubic area.

To stop razor burn in your pubic area, you will need:

  • Cortisone cream
  • A clean razor
  • A towel
  1. Apply cortisone cream to the area. Cortisone cream is a great cream that will minimize bacterial growth and treat any discomfort. All it takes is a small dab to the length of the razor burn. Do not cover the razor burn after the cream is applied or the cream may come off.
  2. Avoid using any more razors. While you are trying to stop razor burn from spreading in your pubic area, do not attempt to do any more shaving. More shaving will only irritate the razor burn more. Your razor burn could make friends and you may soon need to get rid of more than one patch of razor burn in your pubic area.
  3. Keep your pubic area clean and dry. While trying to stop your razor burn from worsening in your pubic area, you need to always keep your pubic area dry. Immediately after a shower, dry your pubic area off as much as possible. Wetness and sweat could cause your razor burn to take longer to heal. Also, bacteria like to roam in dark, moist areas.
