Wondering how to stretch butt muscle? It's not just for the ladies, as every man should strive to have a nice, toned butt. To have this includes learning how to stretch the butt muscle prior to using butt muscle exercises. A little known fact is that you can actually strain or injure the butt muscle if the butt muscle is not properly stretched prior to exercising the muscle. You can stretch the butt muscle using a number of techniques, all of which are easy to do.

  1. To begin stretching the butt muscle you will need a clean, clear area on the floor to lie down on. To begin, you need to lie on your back on the floor. Bend both of your knees and bring them upward, both maintaining the same angle. Cross your left foot onto your right knee and place your hands behind your right knee. Next, slowly bring your knee towards your chest.
  2. To stretch the butt muscle you need to keep your head and shoulders on the floor at all times. While doing so, squeeze your butt muscles together for 20 seconds while your knee is held towards your chest. Slowly release this position after 20 seconds and repeat for the right leg.
  3. To properly stretch the butt muscle, you will need to make sure you squeeze the butt muscles together the entire time. It is best to do this stretching method in repetitions. It is recommended this stretching method is used 4 times per week in repetitions of 6-10.

By taking the time to stretch the butt muscle, you will reduce the risk of an injury occurring while exercising the butt muscles. Injuries can occur to the butt muscles just like any other muscle in the body, therefore, it’s important not to skip this stretching step. Plus, by taking the time to stretch the butt muscle you will maximize the benefits acquired through exercising the butt muscles.
