Looking for directions on how to sync Wii remotes? In order to use the Wii remotes to play games, they must be synchronized with your Wii console. If you are purchased your Wii brand new, the remote that was included with the console was synchronized with the console at the Nintendo Wii factory. You should only have to sync any new Wii remotes that you purchase with your Wii console.

To sync Wii remotes, you will need:

  • A Wii console
  • A Wii remote
  1. Turn Your Wii On. In order to sync Wii remotes with a Wii console, you will need to turn your Wii console on. This can be done by pressing the "Power" button on the front of the Wii console.
  2. Press The Wii Remote Sync Button. To access the "Sync" button on any Wii remote, you will need to remove the battery cover from the back of the remote. You will then need to press and release the "Sync" button once. The LED lights on your Wii remote will blink.
  3. Press The Wii Console Sync Button. Now that you have pressed the "Sync" button on your Wii remote, you need to do the same with your Wii console. You can access the "Sync" button on any Wii console by opening the SD card slot cover, which is located on the front of the Wii. Just like you did with the Wii remote, press and release the "Sync" button once. The synchronization process will be completed when the LED lights stop blinking on your Wii remote.

Tip: You will need to repeat this process for every Wii remote that you wish to sync with your Wii console.
