Need to know how to take care of your voice? Taking care of your voice is quite easy. Most of the time, you're taking care of your voice without even knowing it. However, if you want to consciously take care of your voice, than you've come to the right place. We're going to give you a few steps that can help take care of your voice.
  1. Take care of your throat. If your throat is dry and you speak for long periods of time, then your voice can be worn down faster than it needs to be. Keep your throat moist and wet by drinking water whenever you can. This doesn't mean, however, you should drink water all the time. Drink some water, or some kind of fluid, every half-hour or so.
  2. Talking is exercise. Talking is like exercising, but for your voice as opposed to your body. As everyone knows, exercise is good, one way or another. However, this doesn't mean that you should talk all the time. If you're constantly talking without any breaks than you're wearing down your voice more than exercising it.
  3. Don't scream and yell if you don't have to. If you are a coach for a sports team than this is a completely different story. However, try to avoid yelling and screaming when you can. If someone is far away and you need to talk to that person, walk over to that person and talk in a normal voice. Yelling and screaming can seriously wear down your voice and may cause you to lose your voice. Losing your voice isn't permanent so don't panic if it gets to that point.
