So you want to learn how to talk like Snoop Dogg. There's more to talking like Snoop Dogg then just adding "izzle" at the end of all of your words. Snoop Dogg has created a style all his own. He's got this laid back speech. Its like his words run out of his mouth like a steady stream. the guy is like the epitome of cool, from the way he dresses to how he raps, and yes, to how he speaks. Talking like Snoop Dogg means adopting a style that is a conglomeration of a down South speech, a Slick Rick like delivery, and lyrics from an obscure song released in October 1981. The song was entitled "Double Dutch Bus" by Frankie Smith. He uses "izzle" extensively throughout the song. Frankie Smith is the guy that introduced the the slang to the world. Snoop Dogg had to have heard the song and eventually adopted the "izzle" for himself. No one does it cooler than Snoop Dogg.
- His persona. Snoop Dogg has got to be one of the coolest people on the planet. It's part of the reason he talks as cool as he does. To talk like Snoop Dogg, you need to develop a cool persona like his. You don't have to go out and dress in bright colored pimp suits, but you don't want to be wearing a collared shirt buttoned up to your throat with a pocket protector either. You'd look pretty ridiculous trying to talk smooth looking like a Poindexter.
- His delivery. There's no question that Snoop Dogg is just a chill laid back dude. If you've ever seen him on TV or in his videos, he's always even tempered. Even listening to his music, you can hear how laid back he is. You want to talk like Snoop Dogg, then you need to be just as laid back,just as cool. Knowing the words isn't good enough if you can't deliver them right. Have you ever heard someone speak slang and it just doesn't sound right coming out of their mouth? You don't want that to be you. So, chill out and be cool.
- "Izzle" isn't all he says. Yes, Snoop Dogg has made "izzle" famous once again. But, talking like Snoop Dogg isn't just about adding "izzle" to the end of every word that comes out of your mouth. You'd sound pretty ridiculous saying "izzle" that damn much. Listen to Snoop Dogg's songs or his interviews. Listen to how Snoop Dogg seems to just let the words run smoothly out of his mouth. It's like he doesn't even have to think about what he says. You want to talk Like Snoop Dogg, you have to learn to spit words out of your mouth in the same effortless fashion that he does. Don't just base your Snoop Dogg-like speech on "izzle" or you'll be missing the point.
