Learn how to teach tennis lessons for kids. Tennis is a very fun sport and kids could get curious as to what the game of tennis is all about. Teaching a kid how to play tennis is not hard to do at all. Follow these simple steps to get the kids playing tennis:

1. Start off slowly. You do not want to start a tennis game with a kid by playing like a professional. Children are fast learners, but for beginners, you would need to start off serving the tennis ball slowly. Give them time to at least attempt to get the ball back to you. Also, you could start the tennis lesson off by showing the kid(s) how to serve. It would be a great benefit for the kids, because even some of the greatest tennis players do not serve perfectly all the time.
2. Use a lot of verbal instruction. Children learn well with verbal instructions. Everything that needs to be done, tell them what to do and how they should do it. The kids should learn how to play tennis very quickly with this technique. You may also want to explain to the kid how fouls are made in tennis, so they could avoid them in a real tennis match.
3. Show them physical instructions. Sometimes, a kid may not be holding their racquet right or doing something that is not allowed in tennis. Show the kid(s) how to properly hold the tennis racquet or how to maneuver back and forth around the court. Also, teaching the kid how to hit a tennis ball is a great physical lesson in tennis.
