How To Tell If A Coworker Likes You
It's not hard to learn how to tell if a co-worker likes you. The signs are pretty obvious unless she is terribly shy and introverted. Interested in a little romance at work? Be careful about dipping your pen in company ink, however. Dating coworkers is not without its share of problems, so enter at your own risk.
- Eye contact. One of the ways to know for sure if someone is interested is by eye contact. When your co-worker likes you, she'll give good eye contact during your interactions. Her eyes will be focused upon you and only you--a direct signal that more is up than the financial statements.
- Body language. People who are interested in each other have certain ways of using their bodies. If a co-worker likes you, she will touch your arm or move closer to you. If she's highly flirtatious, the touching may include your face, hair and chest. Just be certain that other elements are present because some women are huge flirts with nothing to back it up.
- Frequent contact. If she likes you, she will seek you out. Remember that boring project you worked on last month? It isn't a coincidence that she stayed late to grab a bite after work. You can definitely tell a co-worker likes you when she makes frequent contact with you, is available to spend time outside the office and seeks your undivided attention.
- Suggestions. It's more than flirting when she suggests you meet her for a drink. This woman is definitely interested in you, so take the bait and run with it! You might not be able to tell if a co-worker likes you until she makes the first move. Now that she has, go for it!
