When the end of football season rolls around, people all over the country tare trying to figure out how to throw the perfect super bowl party. It does not matter if you are cheering for your favorite team or just watching for the commercials, a rockin’ party is the best way to end the season. Follow these simple tips for the perfect Super Bowl party.

  1. Put out snack foods The perfect Super Bowl Party can not be complete without munchies. Have each party guest bring their favorite appetizers. A fun twist to this is to assign each guest a team. The guest then needs to “name” their food accordingly. For example, someone who receives The Chicago Bears may make Chicago “bear”ry cheesecake. You will be surprised at how creative your guests will get. Make sure you have index cards available for football fans to write down the name of their food.
  2. Bake a cake Your friends will think you secretly went to cooking school when you put out this easy-to-do Super Bowl party cake. Start with a plain sheet cake. Ice the cake with green colored icing. Take white icing, and draw the “yard” lines. At opposite ends of the cake, write the names of the two teams competing in the Super Bowl. Purchase two different types of chocolate candies. Chocolate kisses and miniature chocolate bars are good choices. Line up eleven pieces of each candy “players” on the 50 yard line. This will add a lot of style points when you throw the perfect Super Bowl party.
  3. Give away party favors Pick up some beads in the colors of the competing teams. Have guests pick out which colors they want to wear. If your home team is competing in the Super Bowl, it may be smart to stay away from purchasing colors in the opponent’s team colors. Don’t forget to grab some paper blow horns and other noise makers to celebrate the touch downs.
  4. Play a game When each guest arrives, have them write down what they think will be the total amount of points scored during the game. At the end of the game, see which guest comes closest. Give that guest a Super Bowl related prize. A great prize will surely have your friends talking about the perfect Super Bowl party you threw.

Good food, good friends, prizes and games are the ingredients for throwing the perfect Super Bowl party. Even if your favorite team did not make it to the big game this year, cheer up and have fun celebrating the teams that did. Just be careful your friends don’t have so much fun at your Super Bowl party that they expect you to throw the perfect Super Bowl party every year!
