- Create your double windsor knot. To create your double windsor knot you will need to pull the wider part of the tie through the knot. Do this toward the right side of your collar. You will then need to pull the wide part behind the narrow part of the tie. Now repeat that step to the lift side of your collar. When tieing a windsor knot, you want both wrappings to remain in place. You can pull it to keep it in place. It's a good idea if you overlap both wrappings. You will be looking for a trangular shape to appear. Next, hold the loop open with your left hand. Pull the wide end of the tie through the loop and slowly pull it. Pull it until the windsor knot is tight.
- Complete the last touches. After you have tied your double windsor knot you should pull your collar down. Look in the mirror and tighten the tie accordingly. With the double windsor knot, your tie can look fashionable at any event.
