How To Tie A Summer Scarf
Want to know how to tie a summer scarf? Unlike winter scarves, summer scarves are usually made from lightweight materials such as cotton, silk or satin instead of heavier materials like knit wool or fur. They are also really thin and skinny. All these things are needed in a summer scarf to give you a better style without making you break a sweat to rock the scarf look. How do you even tie a summer scarf? Below is a step-by-step guide on how to tie a summer scarf the right way, leaving you looking good instead of funny.
- Place the scarf around your neck, making sure the two ends fall to the front. Pull the right side of the scarf so that it's a little bit longer than the left. Cross the longer length (right) over the shorter length (left). Then wrap it behind the shorter length so that the short length is on your left again and the longer length is on your right.
- Cross the longer length over the shorter length again. This time, wrap the longer length underneath and up through the loop you've made around your neck. Then fold the longer length down over the "knot" that has been created.
- If you need to, pull on the shorter bottom length of the scarf so your knot goes downward and is hidden. Doing it this way will give your scarf a fuller top. That, in return, adds more fullness to your style.
- Make sure to straighten out the top when you're done with steps one and two so that the scarf sits properly and looks right. Now you're all done. Your scarf should be perfectly tied and ready to wear with any style you wish.
