How To Transfer Music From IPod To Mac
Losing files can be a pain and one way of preventing this is by learning how to transfer music from an iPod to a Mac. When you transfer files from your iPod to your Mac this allows there to be another copy in case something happens to your iPod. Many people think taking the time to transfer songs is too time consuming, but it will most likely pay off in the long run. Apple has made this process easy and all you need to do is follow these steps.
To transfer music from an iPod to a Mac, you will need:
- iPod
- Mac computer
- iTunes
- USB cable
- Turn on your computer and use your USB cable to connect your your iPod to your Mac. Wait for iTunes to start up. If it does not automatically start up, then start it up manually by double clicking it in the "Programs" section of your computer.
- Once iTunes is on and it detects your iPod then songs should automatically begin syncing or transferring. The transferring process is three steps. You have to allow all of the steps to successfully finish. This can take anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes so be patient.
- Once it says that it is done syncing, go to your iTunes music library. Look for the songs that where transferred to make sure that the sync worked properly.
Now you no longer have to worry about losing any of your songs. Once you get new music, just transfer them over to your Mac.
