Need to know how to treat genital warts? There is a simple method for treating genital warts without always having to suffer the embarrassment of running to the doctor. There is no cure for genital warts, but you can lessen the symptoms of this sexually transmitted disease with the use of tea tree oil.
To treat genital warts, you will need:
- Tea tree oil
- Cotton swabs
- Soap and water
- A small container
- Wash the affected area with soap and water. This will help the tea tree oil to soak into the genital warts without interference from your natural body oils or dead skin cells.
- Poor the tea tree oil into a small container. This will keep the original bottle of tea tree oil free of contaminants.
- Apply the tea tree oil to the genital warts. With a cotton swab dipped in tea tree oil, apply the tea tree oil directly to the warts.
- Apply the tea tree oil a few times a day. It is best to at least apply the tea tree oil in the morning and at night if you cannot apply it during the day at some point. You will begin to see the warts drop off in one to two weeks from starting this regimen.
Tea tree oil has antiseptic, antibacterial and antiviral properties, but is a very strong concentrated oil. You should never use concentrated oils in large amounts. This is why it’s vital to just put the tea tree oil on the wart itself and not around the surrounding skin. Overuse on healthy skin can cause skin irritation and redness.
