How To Treat Rosacea
Knowing how and when to treat Rosacea is important, because it can get worse and harder to treat over time. Rosacea can be a very uncomfortable thing to experience, so any treatment you can do it is recommended that you try so as to ease the symptoms. Here are a few things you can do:
- Changes in hygiene. While Rosacea isn’t directly caused by bad hygiene, there are some things you should know about their relation. One, don’t use any sort of alcohol cleanser on your face. This can inflame the Rosacea and cause pain. Two, don’t touch or scratch your face as this will only lead to more irritation.
- Avoid alcohol and eat healthy. The cause of Rosacea is unknown as of yet, but it is believed to have something to do with intestinal bacteria. By maintaining a proper diet you will keep your system clean, which may help to avoid outbreaks. Also, alcohol inflames Rosacea so it is best to avoid it.
- Regulate your body temperature. Both inside and out. Do this by using a very mild sunscreen whenever you go outside, and by eating foods and drinks at room temperature. Temperature has a lot to do with Rosacea outbreaks, so try to keep yourself at a fairly consistent heat.
- Talk to your doctor. Because Rosacea is something that cannot be treated on your own. Symptoms can be lessened, but unless you seek medical attention it is unlikely that the inflammation will go down. Your doctor may prescribe a skin cream, antibiotics, or surgery as a last resort.
