How To Troubleshoot A Sony Excd-306
Looking for tips on how to troubleshoot a Sony EXCD-306? The Sony EXCD-306 is an FM/AM compact disc player. The troubleshooting tips below will help you solve most basic problems that may arise with your Sony EXCD-306.
-
No sound. If there is no sound coming out of your Sony EXCD-306, begin troubleshooting by adjusting the volume. The volume button looks like a plus (+) sign with an oval around it. If that does not work, move the fader control to the central position. By doing this, you will be setting the fader control to a two-speaker system.
- Can't load a CD. If you are unable to load a CD into your Sony EXCD-306, make sure that there is not another CD currently loaded. Your Sony EXCD-306 will not allow you to load a CD in an upside down position, either.
- Operation buttons will not work. The operation buttons on your Sony EXCD-306 include play, pause, fast forward, etc. If those buttons are not functioning properly, troubleshoot the problem by resetting your Sony EXCD-306. The reset button is located on the front of your Sony EXCD-306. You will need to use a pen or other small, pointed object to press the button in.
-
No beep tone. If there is no beep tone on your Sony EXCD-306, you may have muted the beep tone. To bring the beep tone back, press six and "Select" at the same time.
Note that when you reset your Sony EXCD-306, all memorized programs and functions will be lost. Do not use your Sony EXCD-306 in temperatures that are above 122 degrees Fahrenheit. Doing so may cause your Sony EXCD-306 to automatically eject your CDs. If after troubleshooting you are still experiencing difficulties with your Sony EXCD-306, refer to your owner's manual or contact Sony directly.
