How To Tuck No Hander BMX
Learning how to tuck no hander on a BMX takes skills and balance. A tuck to no hander is a ramp trick so no flatlander here. A tuck to no hander is loads of fun and will prepare you for advanced tricks. Keep in mind though; a tuck to no hander is already an advance trick so approach it seriously.
Things you will need to pull off this trick:
- BMX bike
- Ramp
- Space to play
- Properly fitted helmet
- Pads elbow and knee (recommended)
- Gloves (optional)
How to tuck no hander on a BMX:
- Put on your protective gear and ensure proper fit. Limber up a bit. Make a few runs, peddle and perform some minor tricks. This is to warm you up and to check the mechanics of your BMX bike before you attempt the tuck to no hander.
- Once you feel confident and ready, prepare your self mentally. Run through the BMX tuck to no hander in you mind. Run through the trick this way a few times. Do this until you are confident in your abilities to perform the tuck to no hander.
- The BMX tuck to no hander will require balance and air. Approach the ramp (standing) at moderate speed. The faster you go and the more pull the greater your height. Once airborne “tuck” your legs to the handlebars. Do this by leaning forward, slightly over the handlebars. Put your knees together and forward to the handlebars.
- To complete the tuck to no hander, release the handlebars. You should be positioned slightly over the handlebars, knees tucked and forward. Place your hands out to the side or over your head. As you approach the ramp place, the hands back on the handlebars and lean back into a normal position. This completes the tuck to no hander.
