With iPods gaining in popularity, they seem to be cropping up everywhere! And it is no surprise, since the iPod is one of the neatest gadgets around. Knowing how to unlock iPod screen lock is something every iPod user should know. Follow these easy instructions to learn how:

What you'll need:

  • an iPod
  • a few minutes
  1. One of three ways to unlock screen lock. There are three ways to unlock your iPod screen lock. The first and easiest is to enter the combination that you originally set up when you set up the screen lock. If you enter the combination incorrectly, the screen will flash red. If entered correctly, the iPod will unlock the screen.
  2. Second of three ways to unlock screen lock. You can also connect your iPod to the computer that is used most often when updating your iPod. Open iTunes after you connect the iPod, and allow iTunes to recognize the iPod. Disconnect the iPod from the computer, and the iPod screen will be unlocked.
  3. Third, and worst, way to unlock screen lock. If you cannot remember your combination, and you cannot connect your iPod to your computer, then the last, and worst, way to unlock the screen lock is to restore the factory settings. Be aware that this will erase all of the information on the iPod, and this step cannot be undone. Only use this way to unlock the iPod screen lock as a last resort, or if it doesn't matter if you lose all of the data on your iPod.
