How To Unlock Screen Lock On iPod Nano
"Screen Lock" is a handy option for iPod Nanos, but you need to know how to unlock screen lock on your iPod Nano if you're going to use it. There are three ways to unlock screen lock on your iPod Nano.
- Enter Screen Lock Code. To enter the code for your iPod Nano screen lock, you need to remember the four-digit combination. If you know it, use the iPod scroll to select the proper number for each digit. Press the center button when you've selected the number to get to the next number. If you have entered the correct combination, your iPod Nano screen lock will be unlocked.
- Connect iPod to Primary Computer. The primary computer is the computer which has the iTunes to which your iPod is synced. If you plug the iPod Nano into this computer using a USB charger, it will sync and charge. When you unplug it, the iPod Nano screen lock will be unlocked.
- Restore iPod. Restoring an iPod Nano to its factory settings will erase all the data from it- music, photos, playlists, etc. You should only take this step if, for whatever reason, Step 2 doesn't unlock the screen lock on your iPod Nano. To restore your Ipod Nano, plug it into a computer using the USB charger. Using iTunes, select your iPod when it appears in the left column. Click the "Restore" button and choose one of the options there. This will not only unlock the screen lock, it will reset your iPod Nano so there is no screen lock.
Again, the last step should only be used if you can't do anything else. It's not a big deal if you have the iTunes library with all of your previous music and playlists, since you can just sync it back to your iPod. However, if you restore your iPod Nano and don't have access to its original library, you'll lose all your music. Remember that all of these problems can easily be avoided if you just remember to write down your iPod Nano screen lock combination.
