How To Update Your Iphone
If you want everything to function optimally, it is important to know how to update your iPhone. Check for updates regularly. Whenever you update your iPhone, some of the software may be fixed to work out kinks from a previous version. Sometimes new software is included in the updates to make your iPhone easier to use. If you need to update your iPhone, it is easy to do and can be done with a few clicks of the mouse. If you update your iPhone regularly, the process will not take as long.
To update your iPhone you will need:
- iTunes
- iPhone USB cable
- Connect your iPhone to your computer. Plug one end of the iPhone USB cable into the iPhone and the other end into your computer. You should receive a notification in the taskbar letting you know that the iPhone is connected.
- Open iTunes. Find iTunes in your programs list or double-click on the iTunes icon if you have a shortcut to it on your desktop. You have to update your iPhone using iTunes.
- Check for updates. When iTunes opens, select your iPhone from the device list and then click the "Check for Updates" button. A message will come up letting you know if there are new updates for your iPhone.
- Download iPhone updates. Click "Download" to begin downloading the updates.
- Install the updates on your phone. After the updates have finished downloading, click "Install" and the updates will begin installing on your iPhone. Do not disconnect your iPhone until you receive a notification that all updates are finished installing.
