How To Use A Condom
Learning the correct way to use a condom can help prevent pregnancy, STDs, and other diseases. However, many people don't use condoms correctly, or end up breaking or ripping. Here are a few tips to help you maximize the protection that condoms offer by using them correctly.
- Apply - Once the penis is fully erect, open the condom wrapper. Take the condom out of the package, and visually inspect it. Make sure that it is intact, and is not broken or ripped in any way. Rotate the condom so that the condom is positioned to roll from the outside in. If you try to roll it backwards, it won't roll.
- Roll - Using your thumb and index finger, gently pinch the tip of the condom and hold it onto the head of the penis. Using your other hand, slowly roll the condom down the penis, all the way down to the scrotum.
- Slide - Using your hand, slide the condom back up a little bit, so that it is not skin tight on the head of the penis. You want a little bit of slack around the head of the penis, to prevent tearing. Proceed to whatever sexual activity you are planning.
- Remove- After ejaculation, remove the penis slowly, while holding the condom. Make sure that the condom doesn't slip off, or spill its contents. Gently tie off the end of the condom, and dispose of properly. Never flush condoms!
As you can see, condoms can be very simple to use. Remember to use a condom every time, during every sexual act. Condoms are only as effective as the person using them, so remember to use them correctly every time. Learning how to use condoms can prevent pregnancy and STDs, and are a very important part of living a healthy sexual lifestyle.
