- Go to gmail.com/chat/video and click the "Install Voice and Video Chat" button. It only takes a few seconds to complete the installation. Restart your browser. The installation process is not complete until your restart your internet browser.
- Click the "Video & More" link at the bottom of the Gmail chat window. You can also hover your mouse over a friend in the chat box and click "Video & More." Click "Start Video Chat." - Wait for the other party to respond to your request. The other party will hear ringing on their end. Once the other party accepts, begin chatting! You can "pop" the video window "out" of Gmail by clicking the "Pop-out" link in the corner of the video window.
