How To Use My Bowflex Sport Home Gym

If you're tired of feeling weak and getting pushed around by a strong wind, then you need to stop using your Bowflex as a clothes hanger and learn how to use your Bowflex Sport home gym. Bowflex Sport home gyms have flexible rods that are connected to handles. As you try and move the handles, the rods provide resistance that makes your muscles work in order to complete the movement. The Bowflex Sport home gym has an adjustable bench, a few attachments and two sets of handles so that you can exercise almost every muscle group in your body.

  1. Attach the correct amount of resistance to the hooks. You will see two metal hooks coming out of the back of the Bowflex Sport home gym, one on each side of it. Place each hook through the holes on the resistance bars that you want to use. Each rod has a number on it that corresponds to the amount of resistance it will give, and you can hook multiple rods at once. The more resistance bars that you use, the more resistance you will feel when you use the Bowflex Sport home gym.
  2. Move the bench to the proper position. Look for a knob underneath the bench and along the metal rail. Pull out on the knob and slide the bench into the position you need for your exercise. The knob will click into place when you have reached one of the predetermined positions. If you need a moving bench for an exercise like aerobic rowing, turn the knob one-half turn and release it.
  3. Set up the cables for the correct exercise. The cables on the Bowflex Sport home gym use snap hooks to attach to the rear set of pulleys. Once the cables are secure, you can run them up to the pulleys on the lat tower, down to the squat pulleys on the side of the Bowflex, or directly under the seat where they can be connected to a final cable running to the leg extension. You can also attach handles directly to the rear pulleys for many exercises.
  4. Exercise until you feel your muscles tire. Since there are so many different exercises that your Bowflex Sport home gym can do, you could never complete all the exercises in one sitting. It is generally best to focus on a group of muscles one day, then give that group a rest the next day while you work something else out.
