Looking for information on how to use a personal photo for an iPod Touch background? Your iPod Touch comes with a few wallpapers that you can use as your background, but you also have the option of using your own personal photos that you have added to your iPod Touch. You can use any photos that are in the Photo Library on your iPod Touch as your background. The background on your iPod Touch will appear every time you unlock your iPod Touch.
To use a personal photo as your iPod Touch background, you will need:
- Your iPod Touch
- A computer
- Syncing iTunes With Your iPod Touch. To place personal photos from your computer onto your iPod Touch, you will need to sync your iPod Touch with iTunes. To do this, connect your iPod Touch to your computer with a USB cable and open iTunes. Via the sidebar in iTunes, select iPod Touch. Follow the prompts on your screen to set up the sync settings. To finish the syncing process, click "Apply" when you have configured all settings. You will then be able to use iTunes to drag your personal photos onto your iPod Touch.
Accessing Your Photos. Now that you have placed a personal photo or two on your iPod Touch, you can access them by tapping Photos on the home screen of your iPod Touch. To select a photo that you would like to use as the background for your iPod Touch, simply tap the photo and tap "Use As Wallpaper" from the menu that appears.
- Editing Your Photo. If the personal photo that you have selected looks good as is, you can proceed to the next step. If not, you can pan the photo by dragging it. You can also zoom in or out on the photo by pinching it. Every photo is different, so make any changes that you feel are necessary to make the photo look good on your iPod Touch.
- Setting Your Background. You are now ready to set a personal photo as the background for your iPod Touch. This can be done by tapping "Set Wallpaper" from the menu on your iPod Touch.
- If you would like to save personal photos from an email message that you received, simply touch and hold the image until a menu appears. When the menu appears, tap "Save Image". The image will now be added to your Photo Library and can be used as the background for your iPod Touch.
