How To Use Photo Shop
Learning how to use Photoshop may, at the outset, seem like it is an insurmountable task. After all, there is a lot going on in this program and learning how to use all of Photoshop can take a lot of time and energy. If you want to do it in Photoshop in the most efficient way possible, then you can just follow these steps.
- Open the Photoshop program by double clicking on the icon. Open an existing image in Photoshop by selecting File then Open and choosing your image from the browser. Then click OK. This will open your image in the Photoshop program, and lets you can edit the image. Once you get your image open you will notice that the cursor on the image is the basic selection tool. If you right click on a part of the image and then drag the mouse you will draw a box. This basic box can be used for any area of effect tools that you want to use.
- Try out the buttons. On the left of the Photoshop windows you will see a pallet full of buttons. The best way to learn how to use them is to simply try them all out. Click on the buttons and give them a whirl. Do not worry, you will not hurt your original image with Photoshop unless you save the file over the original. Unless you do this all will be safe and sound. The program will not save automatically. If you don't like what you have done right now just choose Edit then Undo this will undo the last thing you have done. If you continue to use this menu option you will see your previous alterations undone as well. If you want to select the colors to use with tools like line or paint dump then use the F6 tool to open the color pallet.
- Apply the filters. These can be found in the Filters menu on the men bar. Even though many of these have obvious names like Sharpen, and Sephia Tones, you should still give all of them a try. That way you can see the effects rather then guessing at them. These are some of the easiest ways to make large scale changes in Photoshop.
