Want to learn how to do wakeboard tricks? Wakeboarding is a water sport similar to water skiing. It's an extremely fun and exiting way to get in shape. There are a lot of tricks you can do once you get your balance right. You'll have hours of aerobic entertainment, but you need to learn a few tricks to make it more enjoyable.

What you need to help you learn wakeboard tricks:

  • Wakeboard basic instructional DVD
  • Time
  • Practice
  1. Get a basic wakeboard trick DVD. Look up the DVDs at your local library and see if they have any fitness DVDs about wakeboarding. Getting a water ski DVD is not a bad idea, just try some of the same tricks using your wakeboard. Rent an instructional DVD from a renal company or purchase one from a store that carries fitness DVDs
  2. Watch your wakeboard tricks DVD. Give yourself some time to watch the DVD and practice the wakeboard moves shown on the DVD. Get out your wakeboard and actually practice the moves in front of your TV. This really helps some people. That way you mess up while at home rather than in the water.
  3. Get lots of practice. Your wakeboarding DVD should mention doing basic grab and spin tricks on a wakeboard. Those are the tricks you want to get down before you try other tricks. Inverts and surface tricks are also good basic wakeboard tricks to try. Unless you have no problem with practicing these tricks while you are out on the water and wiping out, it's a good idea to get good practice at home first.

Whether you push getting out in the water to try the tricks or give yourself more time at home first, you are going to have a blast and get in shape doing it. Wakeboarding is similar to water skiing. The difference is you get to balance both feet on the same platform and the force you are trying to control are different because of it.
