How To Wrap A Gift Card

Need to know how to wrap a gift card? There are many different ways to wrap a gift card. Just like any other present, gift card wrapping can go from simple to extreme.

  1. For a traditional look, place the gift card into an envelope with a card. This is the simplest and least expensive way to wrap a gift card. When purchasing a gift card from the store, ask the cashier about a special store envelope or card that they offer with the gift card. Write something nice, sign it, put the recipient's name on the outside of the envelope and you are done.
  2. Purchase a special gift card holder. Many stores now carry different items to use when presenting a gift card. One example of this type of holder is a stuffed animal with a clear case in between the two hands or paws. Gift cards fit inside the case and it looks like the stuffed animal is giving the card, and there is no need to wrap the bear. Some gift card holders are just very fancy envelopes. You can find them in all different materials and all different styles. Try to match the occasion with the type of holder; for a dressy event, get a dressier gift card holder.
  3. Disguise the gift card in a large box. Don't want anyone to know what you are giving as a gift? Take the gift card and place it in a box. Use tissue paper or wrapping peanuts to fill up the empty space. Don't want the weight of the box to give it away? Fill it up with random items like rocks, file folders or magazines. Place the gift card inside the box, tape it closed and wrap it as you would any other present. Wrapping a gift card is easy and can be done right before you give it to that special someone.
