Internet Explorer 8 Problems

With any new software release you have to expect issues which is why the Internet Explorer 8 problems are not surprising. The surprising part is how lackluster this bloated browser crammed full of useless third party wares actually is. You would think they a mega corporation like Microsoft would try to bend with the current market trends but they have stuck to their guns. A browser like Internet Explorer 8 that comes with your brand spanking new PC is probably going to be your default browser of choice. This has worked for ages and so why should Microsoft change their strategy? Market dominance rules and you should bend over and accept these common problems associated with Internet Explorer 8 unless you have a enough common sense to get Firefox or Chrome.

  1. Cross Eyed. The first thing that initiates a change of browser loyalty is speed. Microsoft should know this but they have all their third party bloated add ons trying to load useless applications when all you want Internet Explorer 8 to do is to load a weather map. Also, the rogue pages that do not adhere to current standards (basically anything not developed with a Microsoft product) tend to load funny. If you like pages to load fast that are not tied into Microsoft products, then Internet Explorer 8 is probably not the best choice. Oh and the compatability button on Internet Explorer 8 does not do anything useful unless it is an old Microsoft product designed site.
  2. Fatty. One of the big Internet Explorer 8 problems is the lie. They tell people with older computers that Internet Explorer 8 can easily run on 64MB to 512MB of memory. While it is easy to laugh at such puny machines these days, the lie is ugly if you have an office with ten of these machines. If you load Internet Explorer 8 on a legacy box like this you will have problems with lag times, long pauses and unexpected crashes. Try at least 2GB if you desire this wonderful new version of Internet Explorer that is chock full of preloaded commercials and senseless third party add ons.
