iPhone 3G parts can add extended life to your handset. The iPhone 3G had great success and many improvements over its predecessors, and made it one of the best smart phones of its generation. There is little doubt the iPhone 3G is still a powerful phone, and with a little maintenance, can continue to be a phone that will serve many.
- LCD screen - The iPhone 3G screen that was above the rest at the time. It sported a 480-by-320-pixel resolution, and had 163 pixels per inch, making it one of the brightest displays at the time. The hallmark of the iPhone has always been the display, and this one was no exception.
- Data connector - The data connector for the iPhone continues to be a proprietary type, making it difficult to plug into just about anything. So when it breaks, one has to be purchased. The connectors tend to wear thin, so it may be inevitable that one is purchased eventually.
- The Battery - With battery technology not improving much, it will be inevitable that the battery will have to be changed. Unfortunately, Apple decided to make the battery internal, so a little digging will have to be done in order to get to it. That being said, if you want to keep you phone working, the battery will eventually have to be changed.
- Internal Motherboard - If this goes, you may as well get a new phone. To get a replacement, you will have to spend money and hope that the motherboard on the broken phone you are purchasing is good. The motherboard included the storage, the connector to the sim card, and the functions to the many buttons.
