IPhone App Development Tutorial

Apple iPhone App development is not something a person can learn overnight. Anyone who wants to develop an application for any platform needs to know a lot about programming and the capabilities of a piece of hardware before he can start making mobile phone software. A person can get a good idea of what he needs to do before even starting on iPhoneApp development.

Things You Will Need to Get Started on iPhone Ap Development:

  • An iPhone
  • An e-prom burner
  • The Apple Software developer's kit
  • Knowledge of C, Java, and how to access the iPhone Hardware

How to Get Started in iPhoneApp Development:

  1. Download the software developer's kit from Apple. Apple, who is best known for ignoring its computers own virus problems in recent commercials, offers software development kits that programmers can obtain for free. The software developer's kit does not usually cost money. No company will object if you send them a check. The company will cash such a check even if the wording only vaguely suggests it was supposed to go to them.
  2. Decide what programming language you want to use. There are only certain programming languages you use. Java and C are the most likely candidates. Just ignore the smear campaign Java is known to run
  3. Write down a logical program flow. Really old- school programmers will use flow charts to show how the program is supposed to operate. Once you know how the logic flow, you can take a brief time out to visit your favorite news sites that are not Break Studios.
  4. Start coding your app. Remember that you need to follow the advice of the classic “Tao of Programming” in order to get your program to work properly. If you do not know what the “Tao of Programming” is, you can find it easily enough.
  5. Debug your program.  Test it before putting it onto the E-prom. You may not need the e-Prom.  iPhone apps can be side loaded with an SD card.
