Iphone Not Charging Problem
Are you having difficulty with your iPhone not charging? A variety of issues can cause your iPhone to have problems with charging. It could be a problem with the outlet or cord you are using, or it could be that your battery is at the end of its lifespan. Follow these steps to troubleshoot your iPhone's charging problems:
You will need:
- iPhone
- electrical outlet
- iPhone charger
- computer with USB port
- USB cable
- First, make sure that the outlet you are using to charge your iPhone is working. You can check this by plugging in another electronic device, such as a clock. If the outlet is not working, trying a new outlet should solve your iPhone charge problem.
- Next, try another iPhone charger if you have one available. If you don't have a spare charger, connect your iPhone to a to a high-power USB 2.0 port to see if this solves the problem. Make sure the computer you are connected to is not in sleep or standby mode. If this still doesn't solve the problem, try another USB cable to see if your iPhone will charge.
- Rechargeable batteries only have a limited number of charges in their battery life. If these steps do not solve the problem, your battery may need to be replaced. The life of your battery varies depending on how and how often you use your iPhone. You can extend the life of your battery by locking your iPhone when you aren't using it and making sure you have the most up to date software. Visit the Apple retail store to confirm that your battery is dead and to purchase a new battery if necessary.
