Iphone Ringtones

Ever since the iPhone burst onto the scene in 2007, people have been obsessed with kitting out their phone with the best apps and iPhone ringtones on the market. When you're choosing a ringtone for your iPhone, try and choose something that stands out to you so that you will immediately associate it with your phone when it rings. There are thousands and thousands of ringtones to choose from, but here are 5 of the most popular iPhone ringtones.

  1. Classical Ringtones.  Johan Sebastian Bach was a favorite for music boxes, cellular phones, and his legacy lives on with smart phones. Amongst the most popular of his tunes are "Air on a G string", "Desiring Joy", and "Fantastic Colors". As with most classical composers his music is usually free to download for the iPhone because the copyright has run out. Other favorite classical composers include Ludwig Beethoven, Igor Stravinsky, and Peter Tchaikovsky.
  2. African Safari Ringtones.  Hearing the sound of a monkey screaming in your pocket might make some people jump right out of their skin, but African safari ringtones are very popular nonetheless. Essentially these are sounds that you would hear on safari in Africa, such as an Elephant's trumpet, a lion's roar, an eagle's cry, etc. Caution: having this on high volume on the bus might scare the living day lights out of the person next to you when your iPhone rings.
  3. Seasonal Ringtones.  In the same way that you want to bring out all your summer clothes and pack away your winter blankets at the first signs of sunlight, many people choose to spring clean their iPhone and upload a new, seasonal tune to get them in the mood. Spring, summer, winter and autumn all call for different ringtones to set the tone for the season. Most people choosing a seasonal ringtone opt for a simple electro-funk kind of tone, like cool jazz, but bird songs are also a popular choice - especially in spring.
  4. Cartoon Ringtones.  Songs from your favorite childhood cartoon are a great way to get a pick-me-up whenever your iPhone rings. Tunes like the "Looney Toons" original intro; "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles"; and "The Smurfs" are all great ringtone choices to take the pain out of getting a call from work on the weekend - at least you get to hear a cute song. Disney songs also fall into this category. Choose a ringtone from one of your favorite films, like "Jungle Book" or "Aladdin" to get you singing along whenever your phone rings.
  5. Holiday Ringtones.  The holidays are great occasions to get a seasonal ringtone for your iPhone. There are some great Halloween ringtones, like a creaking door or laughing ghoul, that will get you in the mood for celebrating the witching season. Christmas is also a great time to get into the spirit and choose a classic Christmas song like, 'Winter Wonderland" for your phone. Other holiday's that you might like to celebrate by getting a festive iPhone ringtone are St. Patrick's Day, the 4th of July, and New Year's Eve.
