These iPod Touch docks are perfect for those who want to share their music with friends and family. The Apple iPod Touch is a fantastic portable media player, but using headphones tends to isolate users from people around them. These iPod Touch docks not only free owners from the confines of their headphones and headsets, they also offer a bevy of other useful features.

  1. Insten Folding Stereo Speaker iPod Touch docks. Are you on a budget? Why not pick up some Insten Folding Stereo Speakers for around $6 with shipping included. If you are in the market for high end audio equipment though, you really should move on. Even those wanting a mid range Apple iTouch dock should ignore this one. The Insten is as basic as they come. The sound quality is comparable to laptop speakers and it is made from inexpensive lightweight materials. It runs on four AAA batteries and will actually work with any music player that uses a standard mini-jack. If you want something cheap that works, then this one is for you.

  2. Aluratek The Brick iPod Touch docks. While Aluratek may not be a household name in audio equipment, the company has a rich history of churning out quality but affordable electronic consumer products. The Brick is a little on the higher end of the spectrum, as far as Aluratek pricing is concerned, but the $130 retail price is justified. It comes with a 15 watt downward firing subwoofer and Dual 4W Channel Speakers for fantastic sound reproduction. It also comes with a built-in FM tuner and remote control. The minimalist look of the product is complemented by the blue backlit LCD display.

  3. Beats by Dr. Dre Beatbox from Monster iPod docks. Serious audiophiles should include this serious piece of equipment in their shortlist. Those who love rich and powerful bass sounds won't be disappointed as the “Beatbox” is able to blast you with 200 watts of quality audio reproduction. Although it is amazingly compact, it is a multi-speaker system that is able to replicate true stereophonic sound. Selling for a shade under $400, it certainly isn't cheap. But for serious music lovers, it is definitely worth every penny.

  4. Philips DC320 iPod Touch docks. Is that circa 1990 bedside clock radio on its last leg? Upgrade, and start your day your way with the Philips DC320. Users can opt to wake up using their own song choices, their favorite FM stations or a plethora of built-in wake up calls. Make no mistake about it though. This isn't your father's wood trim clock radio. The patented PureDigital and wOOx (yes, it is spelled with two capital O's) technologies work hand-in-hand to provide you with rich and powerful sounds that belies its small size. It also functions as a dependable charger for your Apple iPod Touch. The DX320 sells for a mere $80. Yes, you can probably get a cheaper clock radio but good luck getting one that looks and sounds as good as this one.

  5. Peachree Audio iNova iPod Tock docks. For those with deeper pockets, or those who do not mind spending around $1,800 for a serious piece of audio equipment, the Peachree Audio iNova iPod Tock dock deserves a much closer look. The iNova is simply unrivaled when it comes to sound quality. It uses a Class A 6N1P tube output stage that smooths out even the the harshness commonly associated with digital sound. It achieves that desired “analog” sound rather well and can even replicate the process for other streaming devices like Sonos or Apple TV. The iNova even comes in a variety of beautiful colorways.
