When you are considering two of the most popular and beloved Apple electronics, you will no doubt want to do a comparison of iPod Touch vs iPhone. These two top quality products are extremely similar, yet have differences, so if you are weighing your options as to which one to buy, you should take their differences into consideration.

Most obvious difference. Of course, the most obvious difference when thinking about iPod Touch vs iPhone is that the former is an mp3 player while the latter is a cell phone. The iPhone is also partially an mp3 player, however, as it has iTunes built in, and you have the ability to add music to it.

Identical appearances. Although iPhone and iPod Touch have their differences, they are also quite similar as well. In fact, when you look at both devices, you can see that they are virtually identical. The size is the same, the thinness is the same, and unless you look very closely at the two, you would probably mistake one for the other. When comparing iPod Touch vs iPhone, if you are not familiar with these Apple products on a first-hand basis, you might have this confusion.

Battery life. The battery life of the iPhone is considerably stronger than that of the iPod Touch. Whereas the iPhone offers you 5.25W per hour, the iPod Touch only gives 3.44W per hour. Most likely, this is due to the fact that iPhone is a smartphone. If this is of a lot of importance to you, you may actually prefer iPhone vs iPod Touch.

Camera strength. One of the most stunning differences when comparing iPod Touch vs iPhone is that the iPhone features a 5 megapixel camera. Meanwhile, the iPod Touch has a crude camera that is only .7 megapixels. This is a huge difference that will also impact which device you would be more interested in purchasing if a built-in camera is of utmost importance to you, or if you don't have a great digital camera.
