Italian Ricotta Pie Recipe

Our Italian ricotta pie is a basic recipe using a pre-made pie crust, and is one that you can easily adjust or enjoy as is.
What you'll need to make an Italian ricotta pie recipe:
- 9-inch pie plate
- Pre-made pie crust
- 1-1/2 lb of ricotta cheese
- 5 eggs
- ½ cup sugar
- ¼ tsp. lemon juice
- 1½ tsp vanilla extract\
- Preheat your oven and prepare. Turn on the oven and set it to 350 degrees. Prepare your pie plate by spraying the bottom and sides lightly with a non-stick cooking spray. Place the pie crust at the bottom of the pie plate and set aside.
- Combine the ingredients. Measure and place all of the ingredients in a mixing bowl. Beat with an electric mixer for 2 to 3 minutes. Pour the mixture into the prepared pie plate and bake for 50 minutes to 1 hour.
- Test and remove from the oven. Stick a toothpick in the pie after 50 minutes to test if it is done. If the toothpick comes out clean remove the pie and cool for several minutes before placing in the refrigerator. Chill for several hours to set the pie.
Tip: Ricotta pie is best when served cold.
