Any Kobe Bryant bio will describe one of the greatest basketball players of all time.  As Kobe Bryant continues to build his long legacy in the NBA, his accomplishments and personal life is also important to consider.  Here is some information on Kobe Bryant's life and career.

Early and Personal Life.  Kobe Bryant was born in 1978, the youngest of three children in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  Moving to Italy due to his father's professional basketball career, Bryant would play in the US during the summers.  He gained national fame with his high school career, where he exceled at Lower Merion High School, a suburb of Philadelphia.  Gaining many accomplishments, his fame allowed Bryant to enter into the NBA directly from high school (the sixth to do so).  In 1999 Bryant was married; they have two daughers.  Additionally, Bryant has had many endorsements and has been active in philanthopic efforts; in 2003, he was charged with sexual assault, though the charges were later dropped.

NBA Career.  Selected thirteenth overall in the 1996 NBA Draft, the Charlotte Hornets traded Kobe Bryant for Vlade Divac via a previous agreement.  Within a few years he was already a premier guard in the league, and the comparisions were already made to Michael Jordan.  Prior to the 2010-2011 career, Kobe Bryant played an integral role in the five NBA championships with the Lakers.  His numerous accomplishments are still growing, such as his present in the top 10 on the postseason and regular season scoring lists.  He has also won a gold medal in the 2008 Olympics.
