- The Straight Punch. You have to start out simple. Delivering a straight punch can bless your assailant with a great degree of pain while keeping you guarded relatively well. When you throw a punch Your knuckles should be vertical. The knuckle of your index and ring finger meet the designated area on your assailant first. You lean into the punch while keeping your head lowered. You rotate your entire body to follow the punch to deliver as much pain as possible. Keep your other hand up to serve as protection for your head. Not too difficult, but a cool Krav Maga self defense technique.
- Defense against edged weapons. Yeah this one is "slightly" more difficult, but it's useful you're attacked by some jerk with a knife. It's all about making that knife a non-factor in a tussle. When your would be attacker comes at you with a knife, you use your forearm to push the knife out of reach of your body while simultaneously attacking the assailant. You can't give them the time to try to reintroduce the knife into the fight. There are a number of ways to go about doing this. If he attacks you over head you immediately use your forearm to push his arm upward and out, away from your body. If he attacks lower, use your forearm to push his arm in the opposite direction and out. The trick is to get the inside positioning. But, it's imperative that you immediately attack the guy. Strike him on the side of his neck or give him a good kick to his soft areas. You can't be nice, you have to hurt him
- Avoiding a carjacking. This Krav Maga self defense technique is just freaking genius. You have to be able to keep your cool during the whole ordeal. If some lunatic walks up to your car and points a gun at you, you actually have a chance of getting away. It's all about knowing your surroundings. When the assailant points the gun at you, sit back in your seat and place your hands down in your lap. Now, you're going to use the arm closest to the assailant. Quickly push it upward and grab the gun. In one motion, push the gun towards the dashboard. The assailant will be struggling to hold on to the gun. It's up to you to push their hand into the crease where the window meets your dash board. By twisting the gun against the crease and dashboard the assailant will have to let the gun go. Throw the gun out of reach and peel the hell out of there.
